PTI founder Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi acquitted in cipher case


The court accepted the appeals of founder PTI and Shah Mehmood Qureshi


The Islamabad High Court reserved judgment on the appeals against conviction in the cipher case against PTI founder Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi.


Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard the case.  Lawyers of Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi appeared before the court, Advocate General Islamabad also appeared before the court.


The court accepted the appeals of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi in the cipher case and acquitted them both.


Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Amir Farooq, Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb delivered the verdict.  It should be remembered that the Special Court of the Official Secrets Act had sentenced PTI founder Shah Mahmood Qureshi to 10 years in prison.
